The BJP lost 4 seats to INDIA in recent bypoll elections. The reason is due to un rest among EPS Pensioners who are drawing minimum EPS pension of Rs 1000/-pm.
They are the most neglected sector senior citizens in India.
The EPS pensioners contributed for the development of the country for 3 to 4 decades.
The EPS pensioners paid income tax during their service.
The EPS pensioners paid pension contribution during their service.
The then government said it is a welfare scheme for the retirees at the beginning of the scheme.
The present government says EPS is a self funded scheme.
The then government said EPS pension scheme is better than central pension scheme.
The present government says we have no money.
The EPS pensioners are dragged to the courts since 2006 in the name of litigation for the sake of litigation.
Crores of EPS pensioners money is being spent on litigation against the old aged EPS pensioners.
There are lot of scams in the EPS funds.
The judgments in more than thousand EPS pensioners cases ignored.
The detailed Judgment in RC Gupta ignored.
The judgments in 11 SLPs by government are ignored.
The One EPS pensioners are divided into two categories. Right to equality in the Constitution is broken by dividing the EPS pensioners into two categories.
The Government circular dated 16/03/17 for pension on actual salary went into cold storage.
The EPFO circular dated 23/03/17 for pension on actual salary made invalid.
The assurance of MINISTER OF LABOUR in the parliament on 23/03/17 to implement RC Gupta judgment gone to cold storage.
The hundreds of letters of Members of Parliament are of no use.
Most of the MPs raised grievances of EPS pensioners in the Parliament.
Only sterio type replies and no action for the last 9 years.
There is an abnormal increase in salaries and pension of employees and pensioners due to which there is an abnormal increase in the prices.
Can an EPS pensioner live with a minimum EPS pension of Rs 1000/- pm during this inflation period.
What for this Rs Minimum EPS pension of Rs 1000/- pm. is sufficient.
Food grains?
Vegetables?
Milk?
Maid servant?
Medicines?
Rent?
The Private Bill submitted for EPS pension by Sri NK Pemchandran MP was requested to withdraw assuring to do justice. But the assurance was forgotten.
The reports of various committees on increase of EPS minimum EPS pension from Rs 1000/-pm. went into cold storage.
The Koshiyari committee recommended during 2013 to increase the minimum EPS pension of Rs 3000/-pm with linking of EPS pension to Price Index. And also recommended the Government to increase the pension contribution on actual salary to 8.33% instead of 1.16% of the minimum salary. But the government totally ignored the report.
Smt Hemamalini MP met the PM twice and requested to consider the request of EPS Pensioners. But no improvement in the lives of EPS pensioners.
The lakhs of representations of EPS Pensioners and associations to EPFO/MOL&E/PM are in cold storage.
The BJP while in opposition during January 14 demanded the ruling Government the following.
To enhance minimum EPS pension of Rs 3000/-pm.
To link EPS pension with price index.
To increase government pension contribution to 8.33% of actual salary from 1.16% of ceiling salary.
But after comming to power the BJP government forgot the EPS pensioners.
25 % of EPS pensioners died without seeing the light of Higher pension,
The un-livingly living EPS pensioners lost hopes on the present BJP government whom the EPS pensioners voted to power twice.
But I am afraid wether the vexed, disgusted old aged EPS pensioners will vote for BJP.
Some may vote for NOTA.
Some may vote against BJP.
The BJP earlier has lost many seats with as little as below 1000 votes.
The BJP earlier has won with as little majority of around 1000 votes.
If BJP can do justice to EPS pensioners, If BJP can take the support of 75 lakh EPS pensioners and 7 crores EPS members the BJP can win with bumper majority in the comming elections.
The following are the demands of old aged EPS pensioners.
To implement RC GUPTA JUDGMENT of Supreme Court IN TOTO
To increase minimum EPS pension to Rs 10000/- pm. from present minimum EPS pension of RS 1000/-PM.
To link EPS Pension to price Index.
To contribute pension fund at the rate of 8.33% on actual salary instead of 1.16% on minimum salary.
To sanction pension of Rs 5000/- pm. to Non members.
To allow Medical facilities to all EPS Pensioners.
The ball is in the court of BJP Government.

वर्तमान सरकार कहती है कि हमारे पास पैसा नहीं है.
ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों को मुकदमे के नाम पर 2006 से अदालतों में घसीटा जाता है।
ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों का करोड़ों पैसा वृद्ध ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों के खिलाफ मुकदमेबाजी पर खर्च किया जा रहा है।
ईपीएस फंड में बहुत घोटाले हुए हैं.
हजार से अधिक ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों के मामलों में फैसलों की अनदेखी की गई।
आरसी गुप्ता मामले में विस्तृत फैसले को नजरअंदाज कर दिया गया।
सरकार द्वारा 11 एसएलपी में दिए गए निर्णयों की अनदेखी की गई है।
वन ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों को दो श्रेणियों में बांटा गया है। ईपीएस पेंशनधारकों को दो श्रेणियों में बांटकर संविधान में दिए गए समानता के अधिकार को तोड़ा गया है।
वास्तविक वेतन पर पेंशन का सरकारी परिपत्र दिनांक 16/03/17 ठंडे बस्ते में चला गया।
वास्तविक वेतन पर पेंशन के लिए ईपीएफओ परिपत्र दिनांक 23/03/23 को अमान्य कर दिया गया।
23/03/23 को संसद में श्रम मंत्री द्वारा आरसी गुप्ता फैसले को लागू करने का आश्वासन ठंडे बस्ते में चला गया।
सांसदों के सैकड़ों पत्र किसी काम के नहीं.
अधिकांश सांसदों ने संसद में ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों की शिकायतें उठाईं।
केवल स्टीरियो प्रकार के उत्तर और पिछले 9 वर्षों से कोई कार्रवाई नहीं।
कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के वेतन और पेंशन में असामान्य वृद्धि हो रही है जिसके कारण कीमतों में असामान्य वृद्धि हो रही है।
क्या कोई ईपीएस पेंशनभोगी इस मुद्रास्फीति अवधि के दौरान 1000/- रुपये प्रति माह की न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन के साथ जीवन यापन कर सकता है?
इस रु. की न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन रु. 1000/- प्रतिमाह के लिए क्या? काफी है।
अनाज?
सब्ज़ियाँ?
दूध?
कामवाली बाई?
दवाइयाँ?
किराया?
श्री एनके पेमचंद्रन सांसद द्वारा ईपीएस पेंशन के लिए प्रस्तुत निजी विधेयक को न्याय करने का आश्वासन देते हुए वापस लेने का अनुरोध किया गया था। लेकिन आश्वासन को भुला दिया गया.
ईपीएस न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन 1000/- रुपये प्रति माह से बढ़ाने पर विभिन्न समितियों की रिपोर्ट। ठंडे बस्ते में चला गया.
कोशियारी समिति ने 2013 के दौरान ईपीएस पेंशन को मूल्य सूचकांक से जोड़ने के साथ न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन 3000/- रुपये प्रति माह बढ़ाने की सिफारिश की थी। और सरकार से वास्तविक वेतन पर पेंशन योगदान को न्यूनतम वेतन के 1.16% के बजाय 8.33% तक बढ़ाने की भी सिफारिश की। लेकिन सरकार ने इस रिपोर्ट को पूरी तरह से नजरअंदाज कर दिया.
सांसद श्रीमती हेमामालिनी ने प्रधानमंत्री से दो बार मुलाकात की और ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों के अनुरोध पर विचार करने का अनुरोध किया। लेकिन ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों के जीवन में कोई सुधार नहीं हुआ।
ईपीएफओ/एमओएलएंडई/पीएम को ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों और एसोसिएशनों के लाखों अभ्यावेदन ठंडे बस्ते में हैं।
14 जनवरी के दौरान विपक्ष में रहते हुए भाजपा ने सत्तारूढ़ सरकार से निम्नलिखित मांग की।
न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन को 3000/- रुपये प्रति माह तक बढ़ाना।
ईपीएस पेंशन को मूल्य सूचकांक से जोड़ना।
सरकारी पेंशन योगदान को अधिकतम वेतन के 1.16% से बढ़ाकर वास्तविक वेतन का 8.33% करना।
लेकिन सत्ता में आने के बाद बीजेपी सरकार ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों को भूल गई.
25% ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों की उच्च पेंशन की रोशनी देखे बिना ही मृत्यु हो गई,
निर्जीव जीवन जीने वाले ईपीएस पेंशनधारकों की वर्तमान सरकार से उम्मीदें खत्म हो गई हैं, जिसे ईपीएस पेंशनधारकों ने दो बार वोट देकर सत्ता सौंपी है।
लेकिन मुझे डर है कि कहीं परेशान, निराश बुजुर्ग ईपीएस पेंशनभोगी बीजेपी को वोट न दे दें।
कुछ लोग नोटा को वोट दे सकते हैं।
कुछ लोग बीजेपी के खिलाफ वोट कर सकते हैं.
भाजपा पहले भी कई सीटें 1000 से भी कम वोटों से हार चुकी है।
इससे पहले बीजेपी करीब 1000 वोटों के मामूली बहुमत से जीत हासिल कर चुकी है.
यदि भाजपा ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों के साथ न्याय कर सकती है, यदि भाजपा 75 लाख ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों और 7 करोड़ ईपीएस सदस्यों का समर्थन ले सकती है तो भाजपा आने वाले चुनावों में बंपर बहुमत से जीत सकती है।
वृद्ध ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों की मांगें निम्नलिखित हैं।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आरसी गुप्ता फैसले को पूरी तरह से लागू करना
न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन को बढ़ाकर 10000/- रुपये प्रतिमाह करना। वर्तमान न्यूनतम ईपीएस पेंशन रु 1000/-पीएम से।
ईपीएस पेंशन को मूल्य सूचकांक से जोड़ना।
न्यूनतम वेतन पर 1.16% के बजाय वास्तविक वेतन पर 8.33% की दर से पेंशन निधि का योगदान करना।
प्रतिमाह 5000/- रूपये की पेंशन स्वीकृत करना। गैर सदस्यों को.
सभी ईपीएस पेंशनभोगियों को चिकित्सा सुविधाएं प्रदान करना।
गेंद बीजेपी सरकार के पाले में है.
